Perhaps the most unique producer in the famed appellation of Valpolicella, Monte dall'Ora has a beautifully delicate touch, and this extends to their "ripasso" style bottling, as well. After a week in contact with recioto must, the wine is pressed off and aged in large barrel. Lighter than you might expect from a ripasso, with a hint of mocha melding with ripe dark red fruit along and possessing very silky tannins.
