Over the past three decades the deforestation of Haiti, like much of the developing world, has outpaced any reforestation efforts. Shade cultivation for both coffee and cocoa optimize their yield in a warming climate and these two cash crops encourage reforestation across Haiti.
Coffee beans known as Typica, a variety of Arabica, combine with local cacao pods of the highest quality and other locally sourced botanicals for this decadent liqueur. The result is a bitter balance of coffee and chocolate with hints of orange zest.
