This straight rye whiskey was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Created to reflect the historic house style of Hughes Bros. Distilling, this rye was aged for eight years in char #4 barrels, proofed with Allegheny Mountain spring water from the original Hughes family estate in Bedford County, PA, and bottled without chill filtration. Aromas of creamy vanilla, dill, and star anise transition to a palate of brown sugar and roasted coffee, finishing with a pronounced note of spicy rye grain and light smoke.
