One of the more curious and seldom-seen "historic" grapes found in northern California, Charbono is known as Bonarda in Italy. Kenny Likitprakong of Folk Machine produces one of the best examples of this full-bodied, inky wine which remains shockingly fresh on the palate thanks to some nicely bright acidity. A great pairing for the backyard grill.
