Irouléguy is a seldom-seen region located in of the French side of the Pyrenees Mountains. The people are Basque and the wines represent something that isn't quite French, nor is it Spanish. Ilarria is one of the appellations top producers, and their earthy, deeply-colored rose is a wine that ages extremely well. Dark berry fruit and hints of pepper with a creamy texture.
