Château Le Puy is completely unique within the realm of Bordeaux wines. They are located at the second highest point in the Gironde (approximately 350 feet above sea level), on the outskirts of the same plateau that contains Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. The estate is certified biodynamic and no synthetic spray has ever been applied to their vineyards. They also consider themselves to be natural winemakers. Harvest is manual. Fields are plowed with the help of horses. Fermentations occur by indigenous yeasts with no additions of sulfur. Their wines are never chaptalized, fined or filtered.
