The caliber of whiskies Compass Box uses for Hedonism have grown ever harder to find, which is why their first ever expression will become a Limited Annual Release going forward.

For the first batch they have turned to more mature whiskies aged almost entirely in first-fill Bourbon barrels. Also, nearly a quarter of the recipe features the last of their stocks of grain whiskies distilled in the 1990s, a period when the use of maize was more widespread. This brings an enhanced buttery weight to the overall composition.
