While Pigato and Vermentino share a common ancestry, and some people would call them the same grape, the best Ligurian producers will point to the freckled skins of Pigato as evidence of the unique identity of the varietal.  Vio’s version is a decadent and textural wine with bright citrus and floral aromatics.
