Gevrey Chambertin is traditionally considered to be the manliest wine in Burgundy, with more force than Chambolle which is known for its finesse, and more rusticity than Vosne which is known for its refinement. This combines both power and elegance with restrained approach by the winemaker more famous for its white wine making prowess.
